We’ll count on you to dive deep to solve our hardest problems -- from diagnosing issues to devising recommendations to influencing and executing to get it done. You will also zoom out broadly, owning processes for strategic planning and decision making.

We are seeking an experienced Chief of Staff to help scale and manage our growing Symmetry Software team by using subject matter expertise and strategic thought leadership to partner with the various Symmetry functional departments. The ideal candidate for this role will understand the dynamics of creating a well-functioning strategy and operations function within a thriving, growing, and changing technology company. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be a strategic partner and the glue that connects the Symmetry teams internally to one another and to the strategic direction of the company. You’ll work alongside Symmetry leaders to develop strategy, manage operations, and deliver strong outcomes. You will facilitate and drive Symmetry’s ability to build a high performing, representative, and inclusive working team. You will balance strategy, operations, and special projects to help Symmetry achieve its vision of powering every paycheck.

Here’s What You’ll Do Day-to-day

• The Chief of Staff will provide the CEO and broader Symmetry Software team with strategic thought partnership and business planning.
• Be a trusted advisor with regard to our mission and execution and oversee strategic priorities, tracking objects and key results (OKRs), operating and optimizing the budget, engaging with key partners from Symmetry, ensuring that the team has the right tools and processes, and managing communication.
• Define data-driven business strategies that span technical requirements, go-to-market plans, and internal needs.
• Run operating cadence; analyze business performance, metrics, and strategic project outcomes to deliver insights and recommendations and influence decision making with the Symmetry leadership team.
• Deep dive into special projects, dig into root causes, and collaborate across teams to drive execution. Success means you’ll navigate the interplay of product/technical teams AND can speak to client-facing interactions.
• Stellar program management: identify, develop, and manage programs for company-wide initiatives, such as customer and revenue growth acceleration.
• Identify and build new capabilities to help us test new ways of operating.
• Foster a high-performance culture across Symmetry Software, ensuring team members are motivated and effective in their roles.
• Use data and insights to enable the organization to operate effectively.
• Monitor, track and assess team performance using key metrics.
• Work alongside the CEO, CFO, and the Invite and People Team to ensure appropriate staffing of Symmetry Software
• Develop strong working relationships with business line leadership to assess strategy support needs.
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts across stakeholders to ensure cohesion within the team and companywide.
• Coordinate and manage projects that arise across Symmetry Software.
• Create and run executive team meetings, developing the regular schedules, agendas, and cadence plus learning and development for team members.

Here’s What We're Looking For

• MBA and 5+ years experience in the role, or equivalent 10+ years working experience relevant to the role.
• Extensive knowledge of the dynamics and inner workings of a growing software company in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with API-first companies and/or products a plus.
• Leaders who deeply understand the art and science of program management and business operations.
• You have strong business acumen and/or first-hand experience building products that delight, and are looking to round out your experience by working closely with dynamic leaders and cross-functional leadership teams.
• Systems thinkers who have proven process improvement experience. You love making things more efficient - arranging tough problems into digestible pieces.
• Specialty in creating programs from the ground up, which includes designing solid processes and preparing businesses to scale.
• Pulse-checker: The person who keeps all the trains on the tracks and the clear communication flowing.
• Culture carrier: Passionate about people empowerment, boosts team morale when things get tough, and recognized mentor and leader; understands influence without authority.
• Ability to flex into problems at all altitudes, influencing outcomes at all levels within the organization.
