The Chief of Staff will be an integral part of the USRB Branch Network Leadership Team. This role works closely with the Branch Network head to ensure all responsibilities of the business are effectively met. This includes coordination of activities, meetings, and deliverables within the Branch Network, as well as communications to executive management teams across USRB and USPB. The role provides a unique perspective on the business, allowing the incumbent to gain broad exposure to business strategy, operating models, and management processes. This role will employ strategic thinking, project management skills, and will also be able to effectively communicate recommendations to different levels of management, within and outside the immediate team.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support the head of the Branch Network on a daily basis to ensure all activities required of the office/business are completed accurately and timely. Items included but not limited to:
    1. Development and coordination of all business-wide presentation decks and departmental communications for the Branch Network including USRB and GPBWM leadership teams, and external partners.
    2. Reoccurring Sr. Leadership Meetings: Working closely with key members of the Branch Network leadership team to develop the strategic agenda, coordinating with presenters, helping with the facilitation of meetings as well as documentation and post-meeting deliverables.
    3. Coordinates large scale events, i.e. town halls, Core Leader Summits, employee events, etc.
    4. Design and coordination of Executive Management visits to the field, interfacing with Heads of other business lines including Mortgage, PWM, Small Business and Executive Chief of Staffs
    5. Coordination and consolidation of deliverables on behalf of the business head and providing oversight on critical business deadlines/milestones.
    6. Organize resources for network wide events/initiatives (i.e. ACSI celebration day, Employee appreciation weeks, Live Chats, Global Community Day, Core Leader Meetingsetc.)
    7. Manage requests from USRB leadership team including: updates on strategic priorities, commentary on Scorecard variances, weekly performance metric updates and other ad-hoc requests, working with direct reports of Branch Network head.
    8. Oversees senior client escalations, working with appropriate business leaders/units to resolve and handling response.
    9. Point of contact for Corporate Communications
    10. Prepares and oversees Strategic Presentations: Working with business head directs and partners, prepares business unit reviews, strategic plans, strategic communications and other critical business priorities
    11. Manages ad hoc projects on behalf of Branch Network head; projects vary in size and scope.

  • Ability to tell the story and adjust the content to align to the business audience
  • Promotes a culture of collaboration and teamwork across organizational boundaries; willing to break down functional silos to optimize business results and to facilitate the overall growth of the franchise.
  • Exceptional Executive Communication skills and ability to interact with senior management. Ability to write clear and compelling proposals, project plans, and presentations.
  • Proven experience in engaging and nurturing successful relationships with internal Segments, Marketing, COO teams and internal/external Regulatory committees.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills. Ability to explore alternatives and positions to reach outcomes that are supported and accepted by various parties.
  • Pragmatic problem solver, forward thinker with independence of thought. Able to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Ability to work effectively in situations requiring analytical, interpretive and problem solving techniques.
  • Aptitude to work independently as well as with a team with minimal direction in a fast-paced, changing environment - excellent prioritization skills a must.
  • Change management - concepts and strategies.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Personal and professional integrity is paramount.
  • 10+ years of experience in consumer financial institutions, preferably with sales and service management experience
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and own deliverables across groups
  • Business manager mindset, to enable development and articulation of business goals, with proven track record of results
  • Strategic and project management capabilities coupled with strong analytic and financial acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize information, prioritize business goals and drive results with a high sense of urgency
  • Accomplished change leader: demonstrates a flexible approach and resilience to setbacks and is able to drive operating and culture change, long-term vision and leadership stamina to maintain course within a constantly changing environment
  • Outstanding people leadership skills, able to envision an enhanced future state and motivate and inspire others to create it.
  • Ability to create support and buy-in across a wide range of stakeholders; create a strong network of relationships among peers, internal partners, external constituencies and decision makers.

Position can be located anywhere in the United States

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred
