About the Role:

In this role you’ll serve as Chief of Staff, ensuring operational excellence for the Chief Investment Officer and their leadership team, helping execute on strategic priorities that span across the entire investment function, and working closely with the CIO and the entire leadership team to define, track, and drive priorities that will change the future of Opendoor.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic Planning

    • Provide thought partnership to CIO and Investment organization leadership on matters of strategy, team effectiveness, and operations
    • Drive planning for key investment initiatives – scope, timing, resource needs, etc.
    • Serve as a key partner of the CIO’s organization to the company’s broader functions such as Technology, HR, and Finance
    • Act as an extension of the CIO, where appropriate
  • Talent and Culture

    • Partner with Investment organization leadership to help determine talent needs, assess current talent, and organize the team
    • Collaborate with the internal recruiting function to drive hiring activity for all teams under the CIO’s organization
    • Lead Investment team on-boarding and training
    • Drive team-wide objective setting and performance evaluation in coordination with the company’s talent management processes
    • Mentor key leaders within the investment organization
  • Project Management

    • Ensure people, process and technology investments support the advancement of organization's mission and vision
    • Provide planning and project management resources to the teams within the Investment organization
    • Oversee Budgeting, data on-boarding, IP and data/documentation management, and permissioning
    • Translating the output of the planning processes into action-orientated plans for each of the responsible leaders
    • Follow up and hold all leaders accountable for the outcomes/ deliverables
  • Operational Process

    • Improve current processes and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity
    • Develop agendas and materials for executive meetings; track next steps and follow-ups to completion
    • Create high quality presentations for executive leadership and other audiences
    • Manage internal change-management

We’re looking for teammates who have:

- 10+ years as an Organizational Strategist with BA/BS or equivalent
- Overseen business initiatives from development through successful execution
- Defined new operational strategies, working with senior leaders on special projects
- Outstanding facilitation, collaboration, and influencing skills
- Elevated levels of professional confidence, business acumen, and relationship-building
- Effective communication skills and executive presentation development and delivery skills
- Been deeply involved running both internal and external communications
- Worked to promote a culture of transparency, connection, and positive recognition

Bonus Points:

- Investment and/or Finance background in a tech environment, strongly preferred
- Management Consulting experience, strongly preferred
- Expert knowledge of G-Suite and all associated applications
