To support Bishop Fox’s rapid growth, we’re seeking a motivated and flexible candidate located in the San Francisco Bay Area to serve as our Chief of Staff. As the Chief of Staff, you will work closely with our CEO on everything ranging from strategy and planning, to special projects and executive coordination. This is a key role that impacts all areas of the business - you will be working with team members and leaders, both internal and external. You will have the ability to directly impact and improve decisions and processes, and your work will increase the speed and efficiency of execution throughout the company.

This role is unique as it drives key initiatives in support of and on behalf of the CEO. The Chief of Staff role will give you an insider look at how a rapidly growing deep-tech company scales and operates, from the vantage point of the leadership team. If you have the ambition to assume a Founder, CEO, COO, or other senior leadership role one day, this position is a stepping stone towards that aspiration.

Responsibilities

Serve as the CEO’s second, maximizing his reach by driving projects and initiatives on his behalf, while efficiently managing competing prioritiesBuild and own financial models that guide operational decision-making for the companyCoordinate the execution of strategic business initiatives under the guidance of senior leadership, and reliably produce quality work with minimal supervisionImprove current processes around R&D, sales operations, marketing and product developmentWork cross-functionally with product, engineering, and go-to-market to drive implementation of high priority projectsExpert communicator; helping the CEO communicate regularly both outward to the public as well as internally when sharing strategy and vision.

Professional Qualifications

BA/BS degree. Master’s degree in Business Administration or similar field preferred7-10 years experience in business operations or management consulting roleExcellent organization, prioritization, and management of complex tasks and requirementsExcellent managerial, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills for both internal and external audiencesAbility to work strategically and collaboratively across departmentsStrong attention to detailSelf-directed, resourceful, has a do-whatever-it-takes attitude, thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, and is capable of delivering project deliverables on timeScale-up experience is a plus
