The Chief of Staff is a very talented individual who serves as a trusted advisor and confidant to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The Chief of Staff will provide professional level support and valuable analysis for various projects, to ensure time optimization and operational efficiency for the CEO. Other responsibilities include the preparation of client documents, analyzing data from proposals and/or reports, preparing management reports, completing company profiles and research, reviewing information for accuracy, managing/owning projects, and composing various internal and external correspondences. The Chief of Staff needs to operate independently with the ultimate goal of expanding the CEO’s time and influence on cross functional projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Create investor updates, pitch books/decks, speeches, conference submissions, presentations, and other various projects on behalf of the CEO
  • Provide reliable analysis for various projects involving public, private, and governmental organizations as needed
  • Act as an advisor and trusted resource to the CEO on a variety of topics
  • Provide heavy analytical support by creating various sophisticated reports/presentations in Excel, Word & PowerPoint
  • Collaborate and communicate regularly/effectively with the C-Suite and Managing Director’s at the firm
  • Accurately compose internal and external communications (letters, e-mails, memos, etc.)
  • Provide relevant documents and information needed for client meetings and ensure action points coming out of meetings are implemented
  • Proactively read, comprehend, and analyze various proposals and contracts. Highlight areas of importance and provide your own key thoughts and strategies for review
  • Regularly communicate and interface with important clients, political figures, government officials, dignitaries, and the Board of Directors in a courteous and professional manner
  • Draft blog posts, articles, updates, social media content etc.…, from meeting, handbook, and company content
  • Carefully handle and protect confidential/sensitive information always maintaining discretion
  • Exercise appropriate judgment and assume responsibility for decisions
  • Work independently with little or no supervision and perform with a sense of urgency
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or STEM designation
  • Two (2) or more years of analytical experience within the financial services industry
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate information eloquently
  • Possess strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize projects to meet simultaneous, multiple deadlines
  • Must have a meticulous attention to detail, and possess advanced proofreading skills
  • Extremely strong organizational skills
  • Must be resourceful and able to provide comprehensive company profiles and inclusive research on a variety of topics
  • Consistently demonstrate a sense of urgency and possess pro-active skills to anticipate needs
  • Comfortable interfacing and communicating with internal and external clients, prominent individuals, notable figures, governmental officials, dignitaries, etc.....
  • Collaboratively work with all levels of staff in a pleasant and professional manner
  • Polished presentation and poised with a can-do attitude willing to pro-actively go above and beyond specific direction/responsibilities
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM Systems
  • Asset Management or Financial Reporting experience are a big plus
  • SIE, FINRA series 7 and 63 licensures are required (or within 90 days of hire)
  • Ability to work non-traditional work hours as needed and attend business related events
