DESCRIPTION
Key for Business (KfB) 1-Click Access is an Amazon service offered to building owners and managers that enables contactless, socially distanced deliveries to building lobbies or package rooms in access-restricted apartment buildings. Our patented one-click building access technology supports Amazon Last Mile use cases, i.e. Amazon Logistics and Prime Now. The KfB organization is looking for a business leader, overall program management owner, and advisor for the GM and the fast growing 150+ person organization. KfB is a single threaded organization consisting of sales, operations, marketing, hardware, software, product, and data teams. The candidate will participate as a member of the senior leadership team and will manage operations and communications for high profile programs that drive growth and customer engagement.
The candidate for this position will have experience designing and implementing mechanisms for effective communications and operations and is expected to develop a broad understanding of the businesses across the organization. The ideal candidate is highly organized and thinks long term by looking around corners, is biased for action in ensuring the team is set up for success in achieving our goals, displays strong backbone with the ability to disagree and commit. Excellent communications and business writing skills, brings new perspectives to the team, and earns trust through broad stakeholder influence. This position will play an important role through the business planning process and will have exposure to senior leadership across multiple S-team organizations.
Key job responsibilities
Strategic Business Projects
Drive annual planning processes (3YP, OP1, OP2, business reports, headcount and goals planning)
Lead projects that require a single-threaded owner outside the existing program areas that require cross functional collaboration
Perform ad hoc deep dives in collaboration with program owners
Mechanisms
Audit and evolve mechanisms to enable the teams to deliver results effectively and efficiently
Manage agenda items and topics for leadership meetings, including organizing talent reviews and annual leadership offsite (virtual or in-person)
Participate in or lead one or more cross-org working groups (e.g., Connections Action Team, Diversity & Inclusion Committee, etc)
Support broader teams as needed to write, review and advise on business document readiness
Drive best practice sharing across programs
Organization And Leadership Support
Drive the creation and review of content and help prepare for executive reviews
Collaborate on creation of content for org communications and external publications
Attend business reviews and leadership meetings, providing feedback and tracking action items
Provide an independent perspective and act as a sounding board for diverse perspectives and ideas for leaders in the org
Consultative approach with various internal teams or projects, including helping them to think through issues and roadblocks (both business and communications), and by providing larger organization context
Basic Qualifications
7+ years of experience in creative, technical, business or operations, roles, demonstrating an increasing scope of organizational and business impact
Experience with hardware technology
Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced ambiguous environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to present in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences at all levels
Strategic mindset with the ability to help shape high-level strategy and articulate it in VP-level documents
Proven communication and collaboration skills that enable you to earn trust at all levels of an organization
High degree of organization and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
Fluency in English
Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with development, refinement, and articulation of mental models and frameworks used to define and achieve business objectives
Ability to represent the GM and the organization in meetings and communications with other senior leaders
Ability to move between topics—from creative to technical to business
Ability to engage curiosity and creativity with an analytical and methodical approach
Willingness to get hands on with documents, presentations, and other activities
