At Lido, we’re on a mission to give every spreadsheet user the power to be their own software engineer. Our next generation spreadsheet has the look and feel of a Google Sheet, natively connects to a growing library of data sources, and seamlessly links to a drag and drop interface builder. It’s a new, fully integrated way to build applications —- one where all of the business logic lives in spreadsheet formulas instead of code.

We’re a small, tight team of ambitious, multi-disciplinary entrepreneurs. Many of us studied liberal arts in addition to computer science, and we spend a lot of time thinking about systems, history, and how to choose our spots for innovation.

Our office is in downtown NYC and we believe that working in person is better for collaboration and creativity at this early stage. Lunchtime conversation topics vary wildly from machine learning ethics to monetary policy.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for an exceptional generalist who can help establish and implement a variety of business operations and go-to-market roles. We don’t care if you’ve done any sort of business operations roles before, but you need to grasp concepts quickly and be willing to wear a bunch of hats.

This might be a good fit if you want to start your own company one day, or if you’re looking to transition out of banking / consulting but don’t know exactly what you’d want to do next. You’ll get to sample a bunch of different roles at a fast-growing startup and learn by doing.

What you’ll work on

This is a very autonomous and hands-on role. You’ll be expected to sniff out the company’s top 2-3 questions at any point in time, come up with plans to address them, then actually execute on your plans. Some examples include:

  • How do we double the size of the engineering team in the next 2-3 months?
  • What’s the fastest way to line up calls with a dozen customer success managers in order to learn more about this potential new use case?
  • Why is our SEO traffic down over the last 3 months, and how can we fix it?
  • What templates do we need to make in order to test our eCommerce / Shopify use case?
  • What can we learn from how competitors price their products to incorporate into our own pricing model?
