Your Opportunity

As the Chief of Staff, you will be a strategic advisor, counsel, and proxy to the CEO providing C-Suite business intelligence. This role will act as a liaison across One Planet Group's businesses and brands, lead for crisis management and business continuity. The Chief of staff will also provide strategic support and partnership to the management teams overseeing the day-to-day operations, driving leadership success. You will also act as a General Manager for new ventures, departments, and initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Executive consultant to the leadership team driving strategic thought partnership, connecting work streams to break silos, and serving as a link to the larger organization.
  • Competency in increasing operational effectiveness and driving business rigor to successfully achieve short term and long term strategic business goals.
  • Proactively escalate and resolve potential operational issues by calling them to the attention of the department head and identifying potential solutions.
  • Collaborate with leadership to deliver, monitor, and communicate progress on key organizational metrics aligned with overall business strategies.
  • Drive a cohesive approach to key business activities including communications planning, training, and stakeholder management.
  • Build rapport with all leaders of the organization.
  • Partner with the leadership team to define, prepare, and communicate organizational plans, including quarterly, annual, and longer term strategy.
  • Support CEO in the development of strategic presentations.
  • Spearhead and formalize corporate culture programming companywide, known as the One Planet Way initiative. The One Planet Way focuses on advancing a culture centered on diversity, equity, and inclusion integrated with company values and world-class benchmark standards.
  • Analyze and report performance based on strategies and business goals, including special projects and areas of the business that require improvement

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Broad business experience driving execution and adoption of key strategic programs across large teams in a diverse set of business scenarios.
  • Ability to work in a flexible manner in line with the organization’s objectives and willingness to undertake other duties as reasonably requested.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, always-changing, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Experienced project manager who has led cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and lead the implementation of communications strategy, policy, and operational plans, to a successful outcome.
  • Strong financial analysis, budget planning, and management experience.

Requirements

  • MBA preferred. 8+ years of experience in General Management, Consulting, or a similar role
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a self-starter who is eager and effective at solving problems with urgency.
  • Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly independent environment and juggle multiple ongoing projects, responsibilities, and relationships.
  • Comfortable holding team members accountable to project deadlines and identifying areas in need of support.
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interest in building and managing businesses at different levels of maturity from new venture to high growth stage.
