Who We Are
AlpineX is a portfolio company of Alpine Investors and serves as a “mini-Alpine” – a fund-within-the fund with its own investing, operating, talent, and other associated teams. The focus at AlpineX is on innovative services rollups, often in industries that have not seen historic private equity investment and therefore present fresh investment opportunities. In these industries, we seek to acquire businesses demonstrating high quality revenue, durable value propositions, and a rationale for inorganic growth through M&A.
The AlpineX Chief of Staff role is a unique opportunity for a supremely talented individual to sit at the intersection of private equity investing, portfolio company operations, talent management, finance, and many other functions within a highly successful PE firm. The Chief of Staff will act as the team-wide glue for the senior management team of AlpineX, with a seat at the table for investing decisions, operating analyses, strategy sessions, and the day-to-day running of a private equity vehicle.
Responsibilities will include maintaining cohesion among the senior team, managing key outside vendor relationships, communications both within and outside the AlpineX and Alpine portfolios, spearheading special projects for the CEO and other leaders, and assisting portfolio leaders with a variety of tasks.
Expected travel is modest and location is not critical, as AlpineX is a virtual organization.
As a team, we value attributes over experience, seeking extraordinary individuals with high IQ, high EQ, and high AQ (adversity quotient) but who are also humble, lifelong learners with a growth mindset. Fit is critical. We’re open to candidates both pre- and post-MBA who have the ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously and can act independently with good judgement across a variety of domains.
