What You Will Achieve
Working with a dynamic team of procurement experts, you will play an important role in negotiating contracts with suppliers for the procurement of Market Research, Data and Analytics and other services. The Category Strategy Manager should be able to flex into other sourcing categories within the Commercial/Marketing/Digital categories of spend as required.
You will facilitate category management, support the implementation of global sourcing strategies for the above mentioned categories of spend, purchase services for ongoing operations and corporate services.
As a Manager, you will provide guidance to operational teams for managing procurement projects. Your planning skills will help in preparing forecasts for resource requirements, and providing areas of improvement for products, processes or services. Through your comprehensive knowledge of principles, concepts and theories of this discipline, you will work towards advancing new concepts and methodologies. You will be able to take a leadership role to facilitate agreements between different teams.

How You Will Achieve It
Provide guidance and lead projects, managing own time to meet objectives and plan resource requirements for projects across the department. Support Sr Category Managers and Category Director to develop and foster global category strategies and deliver high added value support to key stakeholdersProvide Sourcing expertise in the Data, Market Research and Digital spaces for all phases of the sourcing process, including project identification and start up, data collection and analysis, business case development, supplier selection, decision and approval processes, risk management, project execution, and facilitate contract development and support negotiations as applicable. Initiate, develop and prepare Opportunity Analysis for specific spend areas and projects. Deliver targets established for the year, including savings targets. Provide day to day customer relationship management to key stakeholders across different Business Units - Educate and engage stakeholders in sourcing & procurement objectivesBuild strong relationships with Procurement Regional teams and ensure effective linkages with local and regional colleagues. Effectively deploy global policy, procedures and systems. Develop market expertise in assigned spend categories and remain current on supply market trends, business economics and best sourcing practices that impact the supply market and/or supplier economicsExecute the elements of Pfizer's Supplier Management process in accordance with program guidelines. Continually evaluate and monitor market conditions and adjust sourcing strategies accordingly. Ensure efficient operation of transactional activity to meet cost, quality and customer expectations. Effectively utilize Pfizer's eSourcing capabilities globally and regionally in advancing sourcing initiatives. Identify cost savings opportunities and work with the applicable business colleagues. Lead and/or participate in Category Community Teams comprised of regional and local representation. Assure the integrity and compliance with the current Pfizer procurement guidelines and corporate procedures. Mediate to resolve service related issues with internal and external stakeholders.
