Our Business Operations and Analytics team accelerates growth by developing actionable insights and implementation strategies in partnership with others throughout the business. We’re looking for a Business Operations Manager to own strategic and market research for Bitly. Example projects include market segmentation, geographic prioritization, total addressable market sizing, and partnership evaluation. You will also support ongoing analysis into business trends and day-to-day operations.
The right candidate is intelligent, driven, optimistic, and nimble. They have experience turning high-level questions into concrete, well-reasoned, and practical answers. While we may eventually build a team around this person, they will start as an individual contributor and should be comfortable operating at multiple levels.
The Business Operations Manager reports to the VP of Business Operations and Analytics. They will work closely with stakeholders in Marketing, Product, Finance, and other functional areas.
- Structure complex, ambiguous business questions and utilize strong analytical skills to drive insightful analysis using internal and external data- Partner with other teams to help them execute on important strategic initiatives or drive operational scale and efficiency- Communicate findings on a regular basis to all levels of management, including senior executives- Actively look for ways to improve upon and optimize existing procedures, systems, and processes- Serve as a culture leader that does anything and everything to help Bitly achieve exceptional results
- Bachelors’ or above in quantitative discipline: Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field- 3-5+ years of analytical experience in business operations, sales operations, FP&A, or corporate strategy at a leading SaaS technology company, or strategy experience at a top management consulting or investment banking firm- Willingness to take on big challenges and own the results from ideation through execution- Ability to write moderately complex SQL queries and visualize the results- High degree of comfort presenting to executives and other leaders- Low ego and a knack for working well with a wide range of people
