The role

Business Operations drives strategy and planning, business critical insights, and cross-functional execution. We’re seeking a Business Operations Analyst to support SoFi’s Money, Invest, and Credit Card (MIC) team. You will be a trusted partner for the leadership team focusing on high-impact strategic projects, data analysis, and driving efficient processes.

Business Operations works with many teams within SoFi. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic thinker who can work cross-functionally to solve complex challenges with uncertain inputs and outputs.

A typical week will likely be split in two main buckets: 1) support of regular weekly / monthly / quarterly analyses and reporting in support of the businesses and 2) special projects which require strategy, analysis, financial modeling, problem-solving, cross-functional project management, and more.

This role reports to the Business Operations Manager for MIC.

What You’ll Do

Support the creation, iteration and ongoing optimization of recurring weekly / monthly / quarterly reporting for the MIC businesses and functional teamsManage team performance with OKR trackingCollaborate with the Data Insights team to produce data driven analysesConduct competitive analysis and researchCoordinate with BizOps counterparts in other business units and functions on production and delivery of company-wide standardized processes such as quarterly planning and board deck preparation Perform ad-hoc activities as requested by the Business Unit LeadsCollaborating with leaders across the company to drive operational quality, scalability, and efficiencySolve complex challenges with uncertain inputs and outputsDrive cross-functional projects and alignment with stakeholders across the organization

What You’ll Need

1-3 years experience at a top-tier management consulting firm, investment bank, and/or experience in a Business Operations, Operations Strategy, Product, or a cross-functional operational role at a technology companyA passion for our mission of helping people achieve their financial goals Strong analytical abilities (SoFi is a data-driven company) and proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets, Powerpoint/Google Slides, and SQLProficiency in Tableau will be highly preferredEffective communication and presentation skills and ability to explain complex research in simple terms to business leadersExceptional interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong working relationshipsAbility to lead in a collaborative environment, without authority Ability to work independently and a strong sense of ownership (Methodical, self-starter, hands-on, willingness to get into the details)Ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize, and juggle multiple projectsMethodical, self-starter, hands-on, willingness to get into the detailAbility to work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment, with a solid attention to detail;Strong analytical and organizational skillsPositive attitude, eagerness to learn new skills, tools and process
