Summary of Role The Business Operations & Strategy Manager is a highly visible role dedicated to supporting a wide range of key initiatives across all solar operations. You will report directly to the Executive Vice President of Operations and own projects and processes that drive important operational, financial, and organizational outcomes for operations. You will own both strategic initiatives as well as divisional level OKR measurement, partnering with operational leadership to ensure that we are marching towards our goals.

Comfort with ambiguity is essential, as you will need to engage in a variety of projects and distill complex topics into simple, actionable insights. This role requires strong business acumen and operational intuition. As business needs evolve, so will your work. You will work in a highly dynamic environment that may have you running numbers in an excel spreadsheet one day, and helping structure org design the next. Building strong relationships is critical to your success, as you’ll need to engage with a broad set of internal partners - including finance, product, analytics, and our business development team. Strategic & TacticalSupport the Executive Vice President in operationalizing strategy across both field and central operations, and beyondProject manage short-term and long-term special projects, working across internal and external teams to achieve desired outcomesLead management of top priority projects, creating reporting mechanisms on progress and driving projects to successful completionCoordinate across teams to develop a successful operating rhythm within ops - on an annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly basis (e.g., OKRs, business reviews, planning cycles)Deep dive on analytical problems, synthesize data, and deliver insights and recommendationsUncover opportunities for improvement in operating/financial performance or customer experience, and support pilot initiatives that drive improvementIncubate other special projects as needed

Qualifications4+ years of work experience in management/strategy consulting, corporate strategy, business operations, or similar analytical settingHighly collaborative, with experience working across operations, finance, analytics, product, and technology teamsExecutive presence, high degree of professional maturity (comfortable presenting to senior audiences), and strong communication skillsStrong critical thinking and analytical skills (experience modeling in excel required), and a bias for solving problemsProcess-minded, with the ability to create structure in ambiguous, fast-moving environmentsStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritizeStrong storytelling skills, ability to create compelling business cases to sell to internal teamsAbility to drive multiple pieces of work forward simultaneouslyPreviously worked at an organization, or within a business unit, that experienced significant growth. Comfortable operating in an environment that is lean and fast-moving. Must have the ability to wear multiple hats and the ability to adjust processes/systems as the company scales
